A slip collar is a simple nylon collar that slips over your dog's head and has a slip action, meaning it can be pulled tighter while on your dog.
Choosing the right size: It's essential that the Safety Slip Collar fits your dog properly. Measure the widest part of your dog's neck (just behind the ears) then add 2cm for small breeds, 3cm for medium breeds and 5cm for large or giant breeds. This will give you the right fit.
Using a Safety Slip Collar: This collar can be used to give your dog information about the behaviour you want through the principles of pressure on and pressure off. It should always be used alongside a clicker and food rewards to mark the desired behaviour, while the slip collar helps mark the inappropriate behaviour.
